First day with the Canon PowerShot SX40 HS This camera is the first release of the Digic 5 image processor -- and that makes this camera significant. In theory, the first EOS camera with Digic 5 will be announced tomorrow -- October 18th. But, the PowerShot SX40 HS is the first consumer "super zoom" implementation of Digic 5, and to a small degree it's a preview of the Canon cameras of the next three or so years.
